We've been keeping busy as per usual at My Sewing Supplies. With classes, quilting, machine servicing, website updates and general running the retail stores we have been trying to find time to keep up with you all and update you on us.
We have had some exciting and successful classes over the last couple of weeks from sneaker workshops to machine embroidery. Here's a peak into our classrooms

Want to learn to make a quilt?
This class runs your through the basics of design, cutting, machine piecing and quilting.
You also have the chance to learn other skills from Vicky's wide knowledge of creating. In this class you can learn machine hand applique, hand guided machine applique, foundation paper piecing, variety of english paper piecing, sampler quilt

Digitising - what is it, trial the software, decide whether it is right for you and which one you need. This is an introduction class.
This is a computer class. No sewing machine is required. You are welcome to bring your computer, and we can send you the link to download the trial software ready for class. If you own the software, but do not know how to use it, this class is also great for you.

Sewing Machine Club

This is a monthly class where we do small projects in order to gain new skills on our sewing machines. It is open to Bernina, Bernette, Brother, Juki and Janome Brands. For other brands please ask.
You will need to purchase a kit and possibly a specialty machine foot in order to make the project and attend the class. Project / feet and skills vary from month to month. We all do the same project.

Gain more confidence when using your overlocker- Applicable for 3 or 4 thread overlockers. We will not be covering cover and chain stitch during this class. An introduction to gain an understanding of threading / dials / width / length / diff feed / stitches available, rolled hemming and flatlock

Shop Samples
We have been busy prepping some new samples for you all to see. These are a few of our favourites as of recent.
We have used the 'Blockstar' Fabrics Range to create these funky quilt tops. This range is stocked in both stores but is not online due to limited stock.
We are making more sneaker samples to show different styles. Here is what we have done now...with more to come soon!
Website Reno
We are aware of many feelings towards our website, so we have been doing our best to update it, this has included similar formatting with slight changes, new designs and more stock.
