This class runs every second month (or so) giving you time between classes to complete the work started in class.
 
Taught by Bernadette Hoy, this class is open to Bernina, Bernette, Brother, Baby Lock and Janome Brands. Other brands, please ask, so that I can ensure I can appropriately support you. 
 
We all do the same project and the aim of the class is you build confidence and skills on your overlocker. New techniques are used each class. These are based on the Bloom and Grow quilt by Amanda Murphy. You don't have to make the quilt, you can keep the class projects as smaller projects. 
 
Learn how to do decorative stitching, flatlock, get confident threading, understand the components of your machine. 
 
The pattern is included in Class 1 fee and the project is spread over all classes in the year. Further classes involve a tuition fee. The pattern book is compulsory, for copyright purposes. 
 
You are welcome to join the class at any stage, however your quilt will start with the blocks in that month and the previous blocks would need to be done in your own time. I am happy to answer questions if we have time in class. You will need to buy the pattern book, available in store.

You will be given a requirements list that includes fabrics for the quilt. It is likely specialty feet will need to be purchased. Decorative and standard threads are required. These are in addition to the fees here and are an additional expense. We are happy to help you in store with these, if you need to purchase them. 
 
10 am - 3.30 pm each class
 
Each class we hope to cover 2 "lessons" within the book. While these will not be completed in class time you have plenty of time between classes to do this. 
 
This class does not teach the quilting, however additional classes can be arranged for the group, to quilt your quilts together, using the techniques in the pattern book.
