Fresh out of the QuiltNSW Sydney Quilt Show we are tired, but ready to go......
It was a mammoth effort for the QuiltNSW Guild to pull this show together in such a short time frame, but they did a wonderful job, and it was a great success.
We have been busy, as usual, at My Sewing Supplies. Although we are headed towards the end of the year, we are certainly not slowing down yet. We have many new fabrics, lots of classes left, and lots more events and classes for next year starting to be planned.

BERNINA Advanced Digitising class - BERNINA Designer and Creator v9
So, you own the software and you've used it a little, now you want to get the most out of it. Prepare your questions, present any problems you've had. Bree from Bernina will answer these as well as teach you some skills. This is a computer class. No sewing machine is required. You will get more from this class if you bring your own computer.
If you don't own the software yet, you are welcome to join and find out more and share our computer.

Chris Jurd 1 day workshop - Lindfield
We are very excited to welcome Chris Jurd to our Lindfield store for a one day workshop. In this class Chris gives you the option of 2 quilts to learn.
Michelle Marvig 2 day workshop
We've missed having Michelle in store since she moved out of the area and ceased her monthly classes, so we thought it would be lovely to have her back for a weekend. Join us and make the April Pinwheels quilt.

How to maintain your top loading machine at home
Our technician Ian, will guide you where to clean and oil, parts to "defluff", the correct maintenance processes to carry out at home between major services.
Dressmaking - bring your own project or repair - Lindfield
Kate will guide and help you with your project. If you want to learn, want to start a new project or just get a little help to keep you going on the project you are doing, you are welcome. You can come to a few classes or just the one. Classes run the second and fourth Fridays of the month.
Slow stitching and Needle Felting - Lindfield
Use woolen thread and roving for slow stitching or a felted block. You can work on your own project instead of doing this if you prefer.
Quilt with Vicky
Quilt your quilts under her guidance. Learn the skills to make you more confident at home. If you would like to know more about free motion quilting, ruler work quilting or walking foot quilting and gain some new skills then this is the class for you. Learn the basic shapes, movements and patterns. Explore your machine settings and plan your quilting designs.

Slow stitching and Block book - Lindfield
Make a block book to organise and transport quilt blocks, whether completed or in progress. Bring orphan blocks and fabric to match to use in the cover. You can work on your own project instead of doing this if you prefer.
BERNINA Open days
Come along and join Bree and Bernadette as we look at feet and accessories and all the fabulous things you can do. There will be specials on the day.

Longarm Quilting Update
Edge to Edge
It is that time of year again. We have 5 spots remaining for Christmas quilts this year.
Quilts must be booked by Friday 25 September and received by last week of November
For other quilts (no booking time restriction) we are at approximately a 12 week wait
Custom
Custom quilting is closed for 2026.
Limited positions available next year. Plan ahead and book your spot now.
Machine Servicing Update
We are currently running on a 2 week wait on general servicing.
Repairs and machines that need parts ordered can extend this time. Unfortunately, we have no control over timing on parts coming in from suppliers, however we always strive to do our best in getting your machine back to you as quick as possible.
Fabric Sale
We are ordering LOTS of new stock for next year but need a hand clearing our current stock. I have left many very small bolts on the wall. Finish a bolt get 20% off. This includes specials fabrics. It excludes plains and Tana Lawn.
Tana Lawn fabrics are 10%.
