The last newsletter / post has fully booked the Sylvania Machine Embroidery Class, resulted in a second class and fully booked that as well. Thank you for choosing us. There is still room in Lindfield classes and if needed I can try and schedule a third class for Sylvania, but it cannot be a Friday. If you have a group of 4 to 8 or want to go on the waitlist, please ask. We will see what we can do.


I'll get to other class plans shortly.


We have, in the meantime, Christmas machine specials that are in full swing.


Brother are including a gift hamper with certain machines but also bouses with certain machines.

If you would like to know more about any of these machines, please come in to either shop and we can assist you. With the machines we sell, we provide support before and after your purchase. We provide a one on one how to use your machine lesson. We provide a rewards card for future machine accessory purchases. We provide product and accessory knowledge. These are services that you don't get buying a box online.


Other new classes added to the calendar this year are

A beginners' patchwork piecing class in Sylvania

This will be taught by Vicky

And will continue into a beginners' quilting class if you want to finish the quilt yourself


We are running a Bernina B990 hands on skills class in each store. If you purchased your machine through us, you should have been sent an email with a discount code for this class. Use that when booking online. Any B990 owners, are however, welcome to join the class.


We have a few machine maintenance classes for next year

These are the first few in each store


Our first sewing machine club is scheduled in each store and we are going to do the vinyl notebook cover I was unable to run this year. We always welcome new comers to our "club".


We have a number of ByAnnie teacher guided sit and sew classes planned. You can work on your own project under Crystal's guidance. These always book very quickly. We have been asked specifically to arrange these classes, so I hope we have enough planned :)


We have an assortment of Sit and Sew classes scheduled for each shop

Sylvania has 2 weekly options

Mondays and Tuesdays

Lindfield is the 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays of the month


We have some dressmaking technique classes scheduled that add to the regular dressmaking classes that we have schedule. The are currently organised for Lindfield, but we do hope to run something similar in Sylvania

Vicky is teaching ruler work quilting covering a range of Amanda Murphy Rulers over the various classes. Here are the first we have scheduled.

There will be some additional "Quilt with Vicky" classes to come over the next few months.

We are still there in store on an ongoing basis to help you make purchases through our designs on demand system and can download them onto a USB for you if you bring one in. We are purchasing USB's for you to purchase instore for this purpose if you prefer. These will be available from next year.

Our 12 days of Christmas bags have sold out.


If you are looking for a gift for a new sewing family member or friend, we have sewing baskets and containers in each store. We can put together sewing packs of threads, needles, scissors etc. We have an assortment of fabric packs and kits. We also do gist vouchers that can be used on classes, products or machines.


I'm not sure if this will be our last newsletter before Christmas, so just in case.....
