Good evening everyone

I hope you've had a great weekend. We've had an enormous few weeks with a few more to come.


October brings lots of events, socializing, fun and excitement for us.


We join

  • The Bulli Quilters at the Bulli Quilt and Flower Show

  • The Illawarra Quilters at their retreat

  • The Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild at their retreat

  • The Presbyterian Woman at their retreat


And we have lots of events of our own. We are very excited to be teaming up with Liberty Australia (Regent Street Fabrics) to have a Sip and Sew evening in each store. Join us as we go through sample cards for upcoming ranges. Be one of the first to place your order and ensure you receive your piece (or two) of Liberty Tana Lawn. Some of these pieces will not be released until later in the year / early next year. You will be pre ordering.


Have some cheese and bickies and a little sip of a drink as you peruse the fabrics. Bookings are essential so that we can ensure the right amount of catering. Come and enjoy a night out with friends.

We've teamed up with OESD in American to offer you a range of machine embroidery designs. There are a couple of ways you can buy designs and they be attributed to our business

We currently stock a large range of their stabilisers in store for easier purchase. They are available in both stores as well as online. I will follow this email up with one all about the stabilisers.

What else is happening you ask??

If you are quick you can get one of the remaining position in Lorena Uriarte's Wednesday Class. She can teach you any of her patterns or general patchwork techniques. You will also get to hear all about her latest trip to France !! Be warned she will bake some morning tea and it will be good.....


We have Bree from Bernina Australia joining us in our Lindfield Store for the new 7 series PRO launch. Learn all about these fabulous machines and see what they can do. Bonuses will apply on the day.



Then the following week it is Sylvania's turn



There have been a couple of date changes to the slow stitching and beginners' patchwork classes in Lindfield in October and November. You are welcome to join one or both of these classes, if the new dates suit you better.


We also have a second dressmaking, repairs, upcycling, beginners' patchwork class up and running on the 4th Friday of the month. This class has a couple of positions available



We've also got some new patterns, new kits, and new fabrics in store and coming. These will appear at the Shows and Retreats and people are watching us sew samples and grabbing some of the panels as we are making them up. Keep an eye on what we are doing in store for your sneak peaks ;)
