Sew Along Block I

We are getting more adventurous this week, but don't be too concerned, it is still all squares, rectangles and 1/2 square triangles. Just take your time and look at it as 25 mini blocks that you join together. I do advise to take your time as you piece the blocks. They are easy to turn the wrong way....as me how I know :) ... I only unpicked a couple of things twice.

Here is my block

Here is the original

Piecing

Layout all of the pieces so you know clearly where they are placed.

Piece the 1/2 sq triangles

Piece the 4 patches

Piece the two rectangles (green and aqua) together

You should now have 25 mini blocks

See below

Piece as per the video.

Double check the placement of blocks. This is where I turned a couple and didn't notice (twice)

And just like that you are finished and you made a fancy block. Congratulations.

Sew this to the top of the background above Block D. This strip is now complete. Set it aside for later.

It will look like this.
