We have some availability of Demonstrator machines out of BERNINA Academy. The Kaffe 475 demos have sold out. There are only new available. We have 1 x Kaffe 770 still available. This is the last of the demos BERNINA have. You will also have the chance to purchase 7/8 series embroidery modules as demonstrator units. At this stage we are also hoping to have some Q long arm demonstrator machines and some overlocker demonstrator machines. If you are interested in any of these please make contact.

BERNINA Embroidery Software 9
Bree from BERNINA Australia and I are going to look at all things software on Tuesday 6 September.
Class starts at 10am and we expect to look at software and answer questions until about 11.30am.
We will then have a lunch break, machine set up time and start sewing out and discussing the design at 12.30pm and go through until about 2pm with stitching and questions.
Bree will run us through the Bernina V9 Embroidery Software. You don't have to own this software to attend. It is recommended that you that you bring your laptop and if you have a previous version have that accessible on your laptop. You can also download the V9 software for a 30 day trial. We recommend you to this 24-48 hours prior to the event so that you can get the most of it after class.
Trial version
Bree will look at inbuilt designs, changes to them, features of the software, changes from V8 to V9. New V9 features in action.
We are going to have the option to stitch out your design and look at what happens from digitising and editing to stitching. We encourage you to bring your machine and module and join us. Bree will talk through the options for applique.
Fee includes the kit in silver to make the mug rug or if you want a zippered pouch.

Pattern Parisian Blooms by Lilabelle Lane Sharon Burgess - Exclusively for Brother
If you want to learn how to cut fabric and fussy cut on your #Brotherscanncut this is the class for you. In addition we will teach you how to cut your English paper piecing paper templates. At the end of the class you can go home and make your cushion. The class includes the cushion outer kit. You will need to add pellon, insert and lining. Our kit has piping not pom poms.
Tuition and kit is included in the price. Fabrics do vary from those shown in the pattern. You have your choice of pink, blue or green kits for class. Fabric is Jennifer Paganelli Happy Campers. Each kit makes one cushion. You can buy additional kits without the pattern for $45 as part of class. These can only be used by class participants due to copyright laws.
The fabric and paper shapes will be prepared as part of the class but the sewing will not occur. You will need to do this at home. If there is interest we can add a paper piecing class after this one to give you the time and skills to make the "bloom".

Kit will include pattern and pre prepared applique fabrics, cushion back and front and zipper. Vlisofix will be included.
In this class we will learn how to scan in an applique pattern, cut out fused fabric, learn how to cut multiple items from different fabrics on a single mat and how to use the scanning function to place your shapes on the fabric.
The cushion will be cut out and prepared as part of the class but the sewing will not occur. You will need to do this at home.
Please bring your Scan n Cut and all the accessories.
If you would like to fuse shapes to the cushion front on the day please bring your iron and ironing mat.

Meredith Woolnough: Embroidered Bowls Class - SPACES AVAILABLE
We've had Meredith in store teaching and she is a delight. Great teaching skills and a fabulous, enjoyable class.
In this 3 hour class we will explore some of the sculptural possibilities of working with freehand machine embroidery on water soluble fabric. We will start by learning how to set up and draw confidently with your sewing machine on plain woven fabric. Then we will switch over to the wonderful (but sometimes challenging) water soluble fabric and learn how to work successfully with this fabric to create successful stitched sculptures. You will then design and stitch your own unique structure that will be moulded into a freestanding bowl.
No experience necessary and all tools and materials are supplied.
