ByAnnie Bag Kit and Classes and Bob is back !!
I know it hasn't been that long since we last spoke, but I wanted to just give you a quick update.
I know our newsletter reaches more than just our local area. I know some of you may be affected by the closure of Bernina Chatswood. We are looking at ways to support you. If you have a group that meets and want us to join for a day please make contact. If you want a more formal workshop let us know what you'd like and we will do our best to find a suitable teacher and cost it as effectively as possible.
Saying that if you are from a different area, we are more than happy to offer the same.
This Friday we are trying to run a Dream Big Quilting class. It will include both free motion quilting and ruler work quilting. It is a series of 2 classes. At this stage we do not have the numbers to run it but if you are interested please make contact.
Friday 7 and Friday 21 July
Saturday is a one day workshop to make a Bomber Jacket again we don't have the numbers currently but will make a call Wednesday morning, so if you are interested please let us know now and not later in the week.
Monday 10/7 we have a small class making this zippered pouch. There are positions remaining in this workshop.
Tuesday 11/7 we have a small class learning foundation piecing. There are positions remaining in this workshop.
Our ByAnnie classes being taught by Crystal are proving very popular. The Project Bag was a hit and the Take A Stand class we had to put an extra class on. Next up is the ruler wrap. It's a 2 day workshop Monday and Tuesday 24 and 25 July. The fee includes the pattern and tuition. It is nearly fully booked so don't delay if you want to join us.
We have the pleasure of welcoming Bob James back as a teacher. He will be focusing on getting great curves, but you know you'll always get a bit of colour advice too.
He teaches the 3rd Monday of each month in the afternoon.
Crystal will also be teaching a series of Scan n Cut classes.
Here is a summary you can download but I'll tell you a bit about the next few.
There are 2 classes on Saturday 29 July. These suit both SDX and CM machines.
In the morning you will learn how to cut fabrics and papers ready for a paper piecing project.
In the afternoon you learn about cutting applique shapes and scanning.
You are welcome to do one or both classes.
She will also teach a beginner's Scan n Cut class in August. This class is suited to SDX models only.
Vicky is teaching a beginner's free motion quilting class on 1 August. We are keeping this class small so that you get lots of her attention and knowledge.
