With a humble triangle, you can make diamonds! 
 
This cushion design started with leftover triangles cut for the Retro Fireworks quilt. Playing around with these triangles, Michelle found the diamonds. She then made the new sample in the modern colours, to match my other two cushion made with the same template.

Template information
Retro Fireworks quilt (the black background quilt) originally featured in Quilters Companion #97. It is alot easier to piece if the pieces are cut accurately. I have designed this fabulous triangle template, with keyhole seamlines cut out for hand piecing, holes to mark the ends of the seams for alignment, and cut off corners for easier piecing. It also allows for fussy cutting if you wish, as the whole template is used for each triangle. Centre lines in both directions are marked on the template.
