2 Day “Seascapes Workshop” with Caroline Sharkey
10am - 4pm each day
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 August 2024
 
If you have a sense of fun and adventure then in this workshop you will learn to develop your own design for a Sea-art quilt or other inspirational piece of artwork. Be inspired by the underwater world and learn to translate these into fibre pieces.
 
Learn to look at fabric and texture in a whole different way. Cut, mix and sew back fabric together like you have never done before. Experiment with free machine embroidery, water-soluble fabrics and embellishments to finish your original artworks. Learn to master techniques as you go, look at colour in a new way and play with all those fantastic fabric bits!
 
This exciting workshop will develop many ideas for future projects. You will learn to use your sewing machine to create beautiful surface embellishments; knowledge of the basics of free machine work is an advantage for this workshop but is suitable for all levels of experience. A 60cm x 60cm picture is achievable.
 
An essential product kit is included in the class fee.
